The Diocesan Museum of Arborense is accessible to people with reduced motor or sensory abilities.

During the opening hours to the public, the entrance is constantly manned by our reception staff who are available to visitors for a reception service and assistance in order to facilitate the procedures for entering the exhibition.

The Museo Diocesano Arborense offers a wayfinding system with tactile maps that, starting from the outside of the museum, at the base of the Piazza Duomo, guide and accompany the visitor to the entrance of the museum and along the entire visit route in the various rooms.

Digital tools, such as the website and the new audio guide in the form of a web app, make the contents available not only in Italian and English, but also in easy-to-read format, a simplified language regulated by the European Union, and language for children.

The room panels feature highly readable text with QR code and NFC code for access to multimedia content that can be easily accessed from your mobile device or mini tablets made available by staff at the museum entrance.

The app includes some translations in LIS.

There are 1:1 scale reproductions of the most important works in the museum’s collection, intended for people with visual disabilities or low vision.

The museum is equipped with disabled-friendly toilets.
